Pastor Phil answered the call to serve as the Senior Pastor at Altamahaw Baptist Church in 2026. Originally from Mebane, NC, Phil has ministered to families across the southeastern region of the United States in North Carolina, Florida, and Louisiana. He is a graduate of both Southeastern University and Liberty University. He and his wife, Michaela, have two wonderful boys and the silliest wiener dog you’ve ever seen! He has a deep love for helping believers live in obedience to the Word of God, which is naturally emphasized through his expositional teaching and preaching. Moreover, this charge of faithful obedience is expressed and encouraged through his daily shepherding of the flock. You’ll often hear him say, “Any shepherd worth his salt smells like sheep!”
